Wroclaw University of Technology will have a new sports hall. On the campus at Chełmoński the construction of a modern facility has been started. Students will use it from the beginning of the academic year 2020/2021.
The investment has been divided into two periods. In the first one includes building the basketball and volleyball halls, an administrative block, locker rooms and toilets. The hall will accommodate almost 230 fans, which will allow the organization of the competition of the rank of Academic Championships of Poland.
The second period involves the construction of a smaller building, including a gym, a martial arts hall and a room for ballroom and fitness dancing with cloakroom and sanitary facilities. In addition, internal roads, car parks and sidewalks will also be built.
– We are still planning to build a swimming pool and I hope that after its creation we will completely satisfy the needs of our academic community – said the rector Prof. Cezary Madryas.
