Radosław Szymon, a graduate of the Faculty of Fundamental Problems of Technology at Wrocław University of Science and Technology, has been awarded by the Polish Physical Society (PTF). His master’s thesis was recognised as the best in Poland in the discipline of physical sciences.
The PTF awards prizes to experienced scientists and young researchers, as well as teachers, for their outstanding achievements and merits in scientific research, popularisation of physics and its teaching. The Arkadiusz Piekara Prize for the best thesis in physics has been awarded since 1970.
The winner for 2022 was Radosław Szymon, a graduate of quantum engineering at the Faculty of Fundamental Technological Problems and currently a PhD student at Wrocław University of Science and Technology. In his award-winning thesis, he investigated the structural and electrical properties of structures that have potential applications as sources of green light in diodes or lasers.
