Wrocław University of Science and Technology received almost PLN 22 million from the National Center for Research and Development for the project “Cybersecurity for the economy of the future”. The Lower Silesian Security Cluster will be involved in its implementation.
The goal of the project is m.in. improving the quality of cyber security education, which is to cover not only students but also research and teaching staff and management The plans are to launch new and modernize already existing education programs, as well as to purchase tools and software.
– High-quality semi-annual internships for students will also be of key importance. As a university, we have financial resources to implement them, we must now find companies where they could acquire knowledge. In this respect, we count on cooperation with cluster members – says Prof. Tadeusz Więckowski, head of the Department of Telecommunications and Teleinformatics at the electronics department quoted on the university website.
