The project ‘SHORE: EmpOweR Students as the agents of cHangE’ has been selected for funding by the European Commission under the prestigious Horizon Europe international research programme.
The project’s research and activities will address marine and ocean pollution. SHORE will cover the Baltic Sea, the Black Sea, the Mediterranean Sea and the Danube and Rhine areas. During the 36 months of the project, 100 schools from across Europe will be involved in environmental activities.
The WSB Academy in Dąbrowa Górnicza will be the coordinator of the Polish ‘Blue HUB’, a place that will promote knowledge about the importance of and ways to counteract pollution of the seas and oceans. The project will include exhibitions, workshops, training, seminars, the “Find the Blue” campaign and competitions for schoolchildren”.
