28.01.2020

The Jagiellonian University (UJ) in Krakow and the New York Kosciuszko Foundation are inviting participants to submit applications to the Frank Wilczek competition, which aims to distinguish young Polish scientists who can boast of significant discoveries in the field of physics, astronomy or related sciences.

The award should be a form of encouragement for young scientists from Poland and give them a bit of scientific freedom and certainty, which is obtained in the aftermath of early success. Only people with Polish citizenship and permanently residing on Polish territory can be nominated for the award. Nomination can be made by an expert with at least a doctoral title in the field in which the nominated person made the reported discovery.

The deadline for submitting candidates for the first Frank Wilczek competition expires on February 29, 2020. The competition will be completed on June 10. The winner will receive 12,000 dollars funded by the dean of the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Computer Science of the Jagiellonian University and the Kościuszko Foundation.
