Until 8 November 2023, anyone can submit their suggestions for the most popular words, phrases or terms used by young people in the Youth Word of the Year 2023 competition. After considering the submissions, the organisers will present the final list.

This is the eighth time the initiative has been organised and it continues to be popular. Anyone in the poll can submit any word, phrase or expression that they think is most commonly used by young people. 

The organisers then select a list of candidates for the Youth Word of the Year and the second stage of the poll begins – voting for the selected candidates, which will run from 15 to 30 November. The proposal that receives the most votes becomes the Youth Word of the Year 2023, with the plebiscite being settled in early December.

The event is organised by Wydawnictwo Naukowe PWN under the scientific auspices of the University of Warsaw.
