The ceremony of signing the foundation act for the construction of the Space Technology Park was held in Nowy Kisielin. The partners of the initiative include the University of Zielona Góra, the Space Research Center of the Polish Academy of Sciences and Hertz Systems LTD Sp. z o. o. The leader of the project implemented under the Regional Operational Program Lubuskie 2020 is the local government of the Lubuskie Voivodeship.
The establishment of the Space Technology Park is an important initiative for building the region’s potential based on an innovative economy, which will allow to create a leading industrial and research center for space and satellite engineering.
The Park will host a Center for the processing and interpretation of satellite data and Civil Satellite Navigation Systems as well as laboratories for space medicine; materials engineering and strength tests; satellite electronics and FPGA systems; robotic systems and artificial intelligence, as well as cryptography and counteracting cyber threats.
