Materials Fire Testing Laboratory at the Faculty of Marine Technology and Transport of the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin extended the validity of the Accreditation Certificate No. AB 304 issued by the Polish Center for Accreditation for another four-year cycle.

The current Certificate confirms that the Laboratory meets the requirements of the amended PN-EN ISO / IEC 17025: 2018-02 standard. The accredited activity of the Laboratory includes 31 standardized methods for testing the combustible properties of materials used in construction, shipbuilding, sea and land transport in determining the compliance of products with the requirements of the relevant provisions.

The university laboratory was accredited by the Polish Center for Accreditation in 2000. It has also been recognized by the Polish Register of Shipping since 1974. For many years, as one of three Polish laboratories, it has been on the list of research laboratories recognized by the IMO International Maritime Organization.
