Quatro cientistas estrangeiros conduzirão pesquisas na Universidade da Silésia no âmbito do Programa Stanisław Ulam, implementado pela Agência Nacional de Intercâmbio Académico.

Os cientistas vencedores são:
• Manoj Kumar Solanki (Índia, biologia) – “Elucidating the mechanisms that shape the spatial architecture of the nucleus in a natural and resynthesised allotetraploid model grass Brachypodium hybridum and their pregenitors”;
• Piroko Jalakas (Estônia, ciências biológicas) – “DEFOG) Deciphering ERA1 gene function in barley using Functional Genomics”;
• Alexander V. Khramov (Rússia, ciências da vida) – “The lost world of ancient pollinators in the light of advanced microscopic technics”;
• Rocío Pellegrino Vidal (Itália, ciências químicas) – “Application of untargeted HPLC to the proteomic analysis of cereals: classification and characterization of stress resistant varieties”.

O objetivo do programa é aumentar o grau de internacionalização das universidades e instituições científicas polcas.
