Adam Mickiewicz University implements a student mental health support program

The Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań joined the program of mental health support for students of “SOS Digital – Providing Suport to Students in Distress”. The leader of the project is University do Minho from Portugal, and it is implemented by the University of Santiago de Compostela from Spain and the University Degli Studi Di Trento from Italy.

As part of the project, an online platform “SOS Digital” will be created, which will contain informational materials on mental disorders, coping with emotions and difficult situations, and advice for university staff. It also has a space where students could ask for professional psychological help.

The authors of the project will also create a “Manual of procedures”. It will include a report on good practices in supporting people with mental health problems, analysis of the current situation of supporting people in a mental crisis at the university, in Poland, in European countries and in the world, as well as conclusions and recommendations.
