Scientists of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan receive awards in the field of film studies

Professor Marek Hendrykowski and Dr Justyna Czaja from the Institute of Film, Media and Audiovisual Arts of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań were honored with the most important Polish scientific awards in the film studies.

Both authors received awards for the best film books of the year. Professor Marek Hendrykowski was honored for the book “Polish Film School”. The award was granted by the jury of the Polish Film Institute. Dr Justyna Czaja was awarded the main prize of the Polish Film and Media Research Society for the monograph “Screen life of myth. Warsaw Uprising in Polish feature film”.

Both awards are Polish awards to ennoble the special achievements of people who support their scientific and research work in the development of Polish cinema, promoting its achievements, facilitating the society’s access to native film creativity and popularizing film art.
