Silesian University of Technology begins the practical flight training of students at the airport in Gliwice

The Academic Center for Aviation Training at the Silesian University of Technology (ATO POLSL) begins the practical aviation training of students. Thanks to the Certificate for the Approved Training Organization No. PL / ATO – 78, the university can conduct training for the airline pilots – ATPL (A).

– This is the culmination of our long, hard work and efforts. For many years, the Silesian University of Technology has put a lot of emphasis on educating personnel for the aviation industry. This is one of the priority directions for the development of our university – says rector of the University of Technology, Prof. Arkadiusz Mężyk.

ATO POLSL was established as part of the Center for Civil Aviation Personnel Education in Central and Eastern Europe. Its appointment was an initiative of the Górnośląskie Towarzystwo Lotnicze SA, the Silesian University of Technology and the Civil Aviation Office. The Center meets the requirements of international and national aviation regulations on the certification of civil aviation activities and can conduct flight training within ​​ATPL (A).
