Igor Łukasiewicz, a student of Mechanics and Machine Design Faculty at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków designed an electric surfboard. This environmentally friendly and innovative project was created as part of his master’s thesis.

The device is a type of emission-free water equipment that allows surfing in various waters, using an electric motor powered by lithium-ion batteries. Hydro-wings are an interesting element of the vehicle. They are devices generating power that lifts the board above the water surface. Thanks to this, the user has the impression of floating in the air.

The board is 1.5 m long, while its pylon, on which the wings are mounted, is 0.85 m. The board weighs 9 kg, and the whole device together with electronics and batteries weighs 17 kg. Vehicles of this type can reach speeds of up to 40 km / h, and the battery capacity is sufficient for an hour of entertainment on the water.
