University of Economics in Wroclaw implements the “EURHISFIRM” project

Wroclaw University of Economics has started the implementation of a three-year project “EURHISFIRM – Historical high quality companies level data for Europe”. The project is already implemented by universities from France, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain and the United Kingdom as part of the Horizon 2000 program – informs the University on its website.

The project includes the collection, development and analysis of historical financial data on European enterprises, including companies listed on stock exchanges. The research period covers data after 1815 year. The main coordinator of the project is Paris School of Economics, with other 12 research entities, including the University of Economics in Wroclaw.

The project is implemented at the Institute of Financial Management at the faculty of management, IT and finance at the Wrocław University of Economics. It is managed by the director of the Institute – Prof. Krzysztof Jajuga.
