The Award Committee announces the call for entries for the 10th jubilee competition for the First Rector of the University of Łódź, Professor Tadeusz Kotarbinski Award for an outstanding work in the humanities. Entries can be submitted until 17 May 2024. This is the only prize of its kind in Poland awarded to scientists by a university.

Works may be submitted by universities, organisational units of universities, institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences, other scientific institutions, as well as publishing houses. Each of these units can submit one book that was published in 2023. From these, the Jury will select up to five works nominated for the award. The nominations will be announced by the end of September 2024. 

The author of the entry considered best by the Chapter will receive a prize of up to PLN 70,000. The presentation of diplomas to the authors of the nominated works and the announcement of the award winner will take place on 1 December 2024 at a gala event in Łódź.
