As many as 11 universities in the region received support for investment purchases from the Podkarpackie Voivodeship budget. The total amount of subsidies is PLN 1.7 million. Universities will provide assistance for the purchase of equipment for laboratories, various types of simulators and even a mobile track visualization system.

Agreements with rectors and representatives of universities were signed by the voivodship marshal Władysław Ortyl and the vice-marshal Piotr Pilch.

Marshal Ortyl emphasized that the amount of subsidies for universities has been increased this year, as the voivodeship board sees the needs of universities in the field of innovation, which are important for the development of the entire region.

On behalf of the university representatives, the rector of Rzeszów University of Technology, prof. Piotr Koszelnik said that every year universities in Podkarpacie expect this subsidy from the voivodship budget and it is very helpful for them.
