“It has been 20 years of really hard, solid and consistent work for quality in Polish higher education”, said Minister of Education and Science Przemysław Czarnek during a jubilee gala celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Polish Accreditation Commission (PKA).
The Minister thanked for PKA’s commitment and consistency in action. He stressed that if quality is really to be at the highest level and is to be further improved, it really must be consistent. ‘Thank you for your meticulous analysis of the applications of Polish universities for the launch of individual faculties at individual universities’, said the head of the Ministry of Education and Science.
Under the current state of the law, PKA primarily carries out programme evaluations, and presents the results to the Ministry of Education and Science, as well as issues opinions on the authorisation of the establishment of studies in a particular field, level and profile.
