21st L’Oréal-UNESCO Program for Women and Science awards Polish scientists

Six Polish women researchers received awards in the 21st L’Oréal-UNESCO Program for Women and Science. Program scholarship holders are conducting cutting-edge research in life sciences, looking for effective methods of combating incurable diseases. 

The jury distinguished 6 projects, awarding 3 postdoctoral scholarships of PLN 35,000 each, 2 doctoral scholarships of PLN 30,000 each and 1 master’s scholarship of PLN 20,000.

PhD CATEGORY: Dr Marzena Ciechomska, National Institute of Geriatrics, Rheumatology and Rehabilitation in Warsaw; Dr Agata Szade, Department of Medical Biotechnology, Faculty of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Biotechnology, Jagiellonian University in Krakow; Dr Karolina Mikulska-Rumińska, Institute of Physics, Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Computer Science, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń.
