The Field Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Lublin in cooperation with Maria Curie-Skłodowska University and the Catholic University of Lublin announce the 2nd competition for the best thesis (bachelor’s/engineering and master’s) and doctoral thesis concerning forced displacement and refugees.

Through this initiative, the organisers want to raise public awareness in the field of forced displacement and refugeeism and draw attention to the problems of those affected by this phenomenon. In addition, participation in the competition is intended to encourage research in this field, as well as to contribute to the development of activities aimed at improving the situation of refugees and forcibly displaced persons.

A condition for entry is that a thesis on the phenomenon of forced displacement and refugees must have been written and successfully defended at any university in Poland between 1 January 2021 and 30 September 2024. Applications will be accepted until 31 October 2024.
