The latest University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP), which focuses on academic quality and includes 3,000 universities and learning institutions from around the world, has been published. The first place in the ranking is held by Harvard University from the USA. The highest ranked Polish university is Jagiellonian University in Krakow, which took 343rd place.

Other Polish universities in this year’s ranking include Warsaw University (506th place), AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow (680), Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan (729), Medical University of Lodz (777) and Medical University of Wroclaw (806). A total of 56 Polish universities are included in the ranking.

URAP is published annually by the Institute of Computer Science of the Middle East Technical University Turquia and is based on 6 academic performance indicators. As it is a ranking based on academic performance, the publications are the basis for the ranking methodology. The indicators used in the ranking are both the quality and number of publications and the results of international research collaborations. Data is collected from Web of Science and InCites.
