Archiving and sharing research data are the main tasks of the institutional research data repository established by the Interdisciplinary Centre for Mathematical and Computational Modelling at the University of Warsaw (UW) in collaboration with the UW Digital Competence Centre.

“The research data repository is an activity carried out within the framework of the ‘Excellence Initiative – Research University’ programme in order to raise the level of scientific research and the processes related to the implementation and management of the results of this research. The programme will ultimately create two integrated databases: a repository of research data and a repository of texts, which will allow broad and free access to the publication of research results”, said Prof Zygmunt Lalak, UW Vice-Chancellor for Research, during the official opening of the repository.

The new repository facilitates the promotion of research achievements, increasing citations of papers and tracking progress in research projects.
