The Ministry of Defence has announced the 6th voluntary military education programme for students called the ‘School of the Academic Legion’.
The programme is being carried out in the theoretical and practical parts in order to gather trained resources of reserve soldiers for the needs of personnel supplementation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland in the following corps: privates, non-commissioned officers and officers.
The programme is available to persons who are students or graduates of public and non-public higher education institutions (full-time, part-time studies of BA and MA studies) and who are Polish citizens.
The idea of voluntary student training was reinstated in 2017. Since then, several thousand students have taken part in military training every year.
