The National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) has opened the call for applications for the 7th Bekker NAWA programme, which has so far funded almost 800 people from 38 countries around the world.

Thanks to the Bekker NAWA programme, Polish scientists have the opportunity to carry out postdoctoral internships or research projects in cooperation with scientists from all over the world.

“Doctoral students and scientists working at Polish scientific institutions have the opportunity to go on scientific scholarship to the best academic and research centres around the world,” said Dr Dawid Kostecki, Director of NAWA.

Every year, the number of beneficiaries of the programme expands, as is the list of scientific and research centres where they have implemented their projects. So far, 789 people have benefited from the six programmes. The most frequently selected research centres have included institutions in the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, France, Australia, Canada and Japan, and the most prestigious institutions include: University of Oxford, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford University, Humboldt University, University of Cambridge, Harvard University, Princeton University, CERN and Sorbonne University.
