The humanities faculty of the University of Silesia in Katowice will hold lectures for secondary school students. Every month meetings under “Sources of European Culture” will concern a different topic.
The program begins with a lecture “Ethical aspects of medical experiments involving people.” The other topics of subsequent meetings in the auditorium at ul. Bankowa 11 also include: “Law as one of the sources of European culture”; “Ecphrase – between tradition and modernity”; “The diversity of ecosystems and the quality of human life” and “Media image of the world” and “From Załęże to Paris Saint-Germain – symbols of Christianity in Europe alive.”
Scientists from the Silesian University will also tell the youth about philosophical advisers and will try to answer the question “Is it true that there is no truth? The idea of truth as the foundation of Western civilization. ”
