28.10.2019

The topics raised during the plenary meeting of the European Research Council, which took place in Krakow included increasing the participation of women in grants of the European Research Council (ERC), innovation and cooperation with the economy, conflicts of interest and violation of ethical principles in conducting research.

– We are proud that today Krakow can be a meeting place for an institution setting directions for scientific excellence, and thus – for the development of Europe. It is a great distinction and very clear support for us. By choosing our city, ERC confirms that all Europe is one area of scientific freedom and a source of scientific excellence – said Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin during a meeting with Council members.

– The patterns and successes of grant recipients established by the ERC help us convince the public that investing in science is important and brings measurable benefits – continued Jarosław Gowin.
