On October 23-25, Rzeszów University of Technology together with the Department of Historical Research Office of the Institute of National Remembrance in Rzeszów organized a scientific conference entitled “Power once acquired … The beginnings of the communist system in Poland 1944-1947”.

-We try to present historical elements related to our identity and recent history to students or to propose such scientific events. This is not the first initiative of this type with our participation – said during the inauguration of the event Prof. Grzegorz Ostasz, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation at Rzeszów University of Technology.

The conference was attended by: Bogusław Buda, Chairwoman of the NSZZ “Solidarność” Regional Section of Education and Upbringing; Beata Michałuszko, Director of the Provincial Pedagogical Library in Rzeszów and Colonel Mariusz Stopa, Chief of the Provincial Military Staff in Rzeszów.
