Researchers of the Gdańsk University of Technology are implementing the Ella4Life (Ella4Life your Virtual Personal Assistant for home and on the road) project. Integrated virtual assistant with home automation systems and e-health is to provide support in independent management in the care and treatment of seniors, as well as improve their safety and health control.
As part of the project, scientists are developing sensor systems that monitor the work of the heart, placed in everyday equipment: in a chair and in a bathtub. The virtual assistant is also intended to provide support to elderly carers, e.g. family members, and help professionals perform their daily work with seniors even better and more efficiently.
The project is funded by the research and development program Active and Assisted Living Program, which supports projects using information and communication technologies to improve the quality of life of older people. Its value is over PLN 1 million.
