The National Science Center (NCN) announced the process of applications for the fourth time within the SONATINA competition, and for the eighth time in the ETIUDA competition. Polish scientists will be able to apply for funding for research projects and doctoral scholarships. The total budget of both competitions is PLN 30 million.

SONATINA 4 is a competition for people with a PhD title who have obtained it up to 3 years before the year of submitting the application, or who will be awarded it by the end of June 2020. The aim of the competition is to enable the employment of young researchers in Polish scientific units .

On the other hand, ETIUDA 8 is a competition aimed at people who only start their scientific careers are doctoral students at the Polish universities authorized to offer doctoral titles. Young researchers may receive a scholarship of PLN 5,000 per month for a period of 6 to 12 months.
