Researcher of the Poznań University of Economics receives Polish Smart Development Award

Dr Ewa Sikorska, Prof. of the Poznań University of Economics received the Polish Smart Development Award 2019 in the ‘Scientist of the Future’ category for the implementation of the “Spectral fingerprints as a tool for testing the quality of fruit juices” funded by the National Science Center.

Scientists of the Department of Technology and Instrumental Analysis of the Institute of Quality Sciences of the Poznań University of Economics, under the direction of the laureate, studied fruit, apple and berry juices as well as their mixtures. In their research, scientists used optical spectroscopy methods.

The winners of the Polish Intelligent Development Award are entities and persons who demonstrate a future-oriented approach in their work, and their activities constitute the basis for sustainable economic development of Poland. The partner of the award is the Silesian Center for Business Ethics and Sustainable Development at the Silesian University of Technology, and the organizer is the Center for Smart Development.
