The Patent Office of the Republic of Poland (UP RP) has awarded the authors of the best scientific papers on intellectual property for the 17th time.

Annually contested scientific work contests are of the ever-growing interest of creative environments and contribute to the consolidation and development of a culture of intellectual property protection in Poland. This sphere requires the widest and systematic dissemination of knowledge using various forms of communication addressed to many groups of recipients.

In the “Doctoral dissertation” category, the first prize was awarded to Marcin Jan Stępień (University of Szczecin) for his doctoral dissertation “Copyright property rights in Polish and Russian law. Comparative law analysis. ”

In the “Master’s thesis” category, the 1st prize was received by Aleksandra Piechota (Jagiellonian University in Kraków) for the master’s thesis “Bestselling clause”.
