Foundation for Polish Science launches Council for the Program of International Research Agendas

The Foundation for Polish Science has launched the International Research Agendas Program Council (IRA). The world-class scientists – foreign experts and directors of MAB units and representatives of FNP met at the headquarters of the Foundation for Polish Science (FNP).

The IRA Council is a body appointed by the Foundation for Polish Science, aimed at ensuring the quality of implementation of the International Research Agendas project, financed by EU structural funds under the Intelligent Development Operational Program.
The Council recommends, consults and issues recommendations to the FNP Board in relation to the IRA units and the program itself, and controls the maintenance of standards conducive to the scientific excellence of the IRA program.

The Board reports to the FNP Board and its meetings takes place once a year. The chairman of the Council was unanimously elected Prof. Andrei Lupas, director of the Protein Evolution Department at the Max Planck Institute for Developmental Biology.
