Design and Interior Architecture students of the Koszalin University of Technology can now use the new, experimental Room M8 under the “Island” project implemented at the university for over a year.
The idea of the project implemented with the participation of second-year MA students in Interior Design is to create a multifunctional, useful facility, tailored to the needs of students, providing comfort in a “brutal post-industrial environment”.
M8 is a spacious room, divided into five zones, which are used for individual work with laptops, group work, resting, preparing a meal and storing. The hall has an industrial character, but is at the same time it has an open, cozy, warm, atmospheric and artistically developed interior.
The opening of the Hall is beginning the testing phase of the new space. The final results of the “Island” project will be presented during the Gdynia Design Days 2020 festival.
