Polish student awarded for the Copenhagen Library copper project

Agata Jankowska’s master’s thesis was recognized as the best in a competition organized jointly by the Faculty of Architecture of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology and the European Copper Institute Copper Alliance. The student has created a library project at the post-industrial port quay in Copenhagen.

The building designed by Jankowska has 6 floors and over 3,000. sq m of usable floor space. The ground floor include temporary and multi-functional atrium exhibitions in the form of a winter garden that could become a kind of covered public square in the urban fabric and a small gastronomy.

This is the third competition in which the best master’s theses with the use of copper or its alloys are selected and accepted at the Faculty of Architecture of the Wroclaw university. Innovativeness of the solution of the topic, the possibility of implementing the project and the attractiveness of graphic design and description were also assessed.
