On January 27-31, Bialystok University of Technology is holding 2020 OFTA 2020 – 19th Conference on Optical Fibers and Their Applications in Białowieża.

The OFTA conference in 2020 will be organized by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Bialystok University of Technology and the Polish Society of Theoretical and Applied Electrical Engineering. The conference will take place under the honorary patronage of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Polish Scientific Association (Photonics Society of Poland).

The OFTA conferences are organized every year in various scientific centers in Poland and provide scholars opportunity to deal with optical fibers and photonic technologies. Bialystok University of Technology will once again host the conference.

The first OFTA conference was organized in 1976. Its subject area is focused on applications and technologies for the production of various types of optical fibers. The event is attended by scientists, representatives of industrial companies, equipment suppliers and telecommunications operators who are increasingly implementing fiber technologies.
