Jacek Sutryk, the mayor of Wrocław appealed to Wrocław students to stay in homes, dormitories and camps and thus help reduce the risk of coronavirus transmission.
– Please, take the period of suspension of classes at universities to treat the situation seriously as a time of our joint mobilization for the sake of the safety of Wrocław residents, including you and your families – appealed Sutryk.
The mayor emphasized that students are an extremely important and unusually large (over 110,000 people) group of Wrocław residents and asked to comply with the appeal of the government authorities to minimize the presence of students in public space. – The fewer meetings and gatherings are, the lower the risk of spreading the disease. Let’s think about the most vulnerable: older people and people less resistant than us- said the mayor.
