The University of Opole will cooperate with the Cooperative of Mineral Miners in Opole. The partners want to cooperate in the field of nature protection and biodiversity, in particular in relation to ecological reclamation, assisted natural succession and protection of natural habitats in mining areas.

The university will prepare expert opinions and assessments regarding the impact of operational activities on the natural environment, as well as analyzes and concepts of the best reclamation methods from the point of view of biodiversity protection. The cooperation will support environmental initiatives of university research teams, share data and enable permanent field observations in the field of biodiversity.

Both partners are also planning to organize education on the impact of mineral resource exploitation on the environment and to prepare rationalizing and innovative applications in the scope of reducing the impact of operating activities on the environment.
