The Foundation for Polish Science (FNP) awarded the winners of the Polish Honorary Scholarship Alexander von Humboldt. The awards are granted to German scientists who want to come to Poland for several months of scientific stay.
The scholarship is awarded by the FNP under an agreement concluded in 1995 with the Humboldt Foundation. It enables winners to carry out research projects according to their own choice in cooperation with colleagues from the host country. It is granted for a period of 3 to 6 months, and its amount is currently 4,000. euro per month.
This year’s scholarships will be awarded to: Prof. Hermann Ehrlich from TU Bergakademie Freiberg, Prof. Hans Geissel from the Justus Liebig University in Giessen, and Prof. Carola Hilmes from the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main.
