Success of the “Elector” research club from the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń

The project of the ‘Elector’ Student Scientific Law Club of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń ‘Participation of first time voters in European Parliament elections’ was among the winners of the European Youth Award.

The project was aimed at encouraging the first time voters to participate in active and conscious participation in the last Euros elections. The complex initiative assumed providing a scientific seminar, international turnout spots involving students from all over Europe, as well as a scientific conference with election law experts.

Since 2008, the European Parliament and the Foundation for the International Award of Charlemagne of Aachen are inviting young people from all EU Member States to submit projects. The competition is a derivative of the International Charlemagne Prize, whose winners include Winston Churchill, Jean Monnet, John Paul II and Donald Tusk.
