Scientists from the AGH University of Science and Technology (AGH) in Krakow under the leading European science and research projects in the field of cyber security – ECHO, are fighting hackers in the era of coronavirus.

AGH is one of 30 academic and business partners that participate in the ECHO consortium. The scholars from the AGH Department of Telecommunications are primarily involved in technical solutions under the project. Researchers are working out cryptographic ways to protect confidential data and analyze technical challenges related to user security and data protection in computer networks during the pandemic era.

ECHO is a European science and research project under the Horizon 2020 Program and it covers many aspects of cybersecurity (technical, legal, social issues).
