The Cietrzew project, a hybrid, unmanned aerial vehicle with a systems of smart navigation and obstacle avoidance, was awarded the silver medal of the International Competition and the Invention Fair “Concours Lépine 2020”. The International Trade Fair and the Invention Competition “Concours Lépine” are organized as part of the International Multi-Industry Fair “Foire de Paris”, the largest exhibition event in France.

The “Cietrzew” is an unmanned, hybrid airframe with a vertical take-off and landing function.

Its most important features include original on-board software enabling active analysis of the environment as well as identification and avoidance of obstacles around the aircraft. The on-board equipment includes an autopilot, on-board computer, 3D sensors and communication radios maintaining communication with the ground station.
