The Student Research Group of Cancer Cell Biology, operating at the Medical University of Wrocław, won the first prize in the StRuNa-Med 2020 competition. Prof. Julita Kulbacka, one of the mentors of the student club, was also awarded as the Scientific Supervisor of the Year 2020.

This year’s StRuNa-Med award was granted for the project “Increasing the cytotoxic potential of natural drugs through electroporation and photodynamic therapy”.

The Club operates at the Department and Department of Molecular and Cell Biology at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, under the supervision of Prof. Jolanta Saczko and Prof. Julita Kulbacka. The club has been awarded in many competitions and has won numerous grants.

The annual national StRuNa Competition summarizes the scientific activity of student clubs and other student organizations between October 1 of the previous year and September 30 of this year. 22 research clubs and other teams of students or doctoral students took part in this year’s finals.
