Dr Eng. Bartosz Wojtyra, scientist of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań is implementing a project aimed at determining the importance of neolocalism in the preferences of craft beer consumers in Poland. The research received funding from the MINIATURA Competition of the National Science Center.
The scientist’s subject deals with the phenomenon of the so-called the craft beer revolution presenting the dynamic growth of the craft beer market after 2011. The reasons for its development include increasing importance of the so-called neolocalism, which explains the attempt to create a sense of local identity and connection with the place where the product is made.
The scientist wants to find out elements of neolocalism in the brewing strategy are important for regular and occasional consumers, other factors important for the consumer when choosing beer, and the characteristics of regular and occasional consumers of craft beer in Poland.
