The employees of the University of Gdańsk have won the Science Popularizer competition. Dr Beata Czechowska-Derkacz was distinguished for her exemplary information policy while she was serving as a press spokeswoman. In the media category, the award was achieved by the editorial office of “Philosophy”, a magazine co-founded by Dr Artur Szutta.

Dr.Czechowska-Derkacz in the years 2003-2020 was a spokeswoman, today she works as assistant professor at the Institute of Media, Journalism and Social Communication. As a press spokeswoman and journalist, as well as a researcher and teaching worker, she combines theory with practice by conducting PR classes and workshops.

“Philosophy” is a bimonthly popularizing knowledge of philosophy, co-founded by Dr Artur Szutta, University of Gdańsk, the Faculty of Social Sciences. Many employees of the Institute of Philosophy support the journal as leading editors, regular columnists, authors of articles, reviews and comments.
