As part of the cooperation between Hydropolis sp.z o.o. and EQ Development Wojciech Krajewski with the University of Agriculture in Krakow (URK), the partners are launching the first in Poland, modular hydroponic cultivation with a system for controlling cultivation conditions, the so-called growing box, which is 12 meters long a sea container.
The cultivation of low leaf vegetables and herbs can be carried out almost anywhere on Earth, all year round, while using less water compared to a traditional greenhouse or ground growing system. LED lamps, which are the only source of light, determine the size and quality of crops and the growth rate of the plant with properly selected radiation.
The creators of the solution include the researchers from three departments of URK: the Faculty of Agriculture and Economics, the Faculty of Biotechnology and Horticulture and the Faculty of Production and Power Engineering.
