Gdynia application to help victims of school violence

09.02.2021

Software house SPEEDNET employees from the Pomeranian Science and Technology Park Gdynia and scientists from the SWPS University have created the RESQL application that will help schools in the fight against peer violence.

The RESQL project is the result of research carried out in primary and secondary schools. This tool was developed by a group of psychologists of the SWPS University. SPEEDNET is a RESQL technological partner responsible for the design, development and maintenance of the application.

The way of RESQL work is very simple. A student who participates or witnesses a dangerous situation reports this incident through the application. The application alerts a teacher who, together with other educators, analyzes the problem and reacts. Even half of the students of Polish schools admit to be victims of school violence. Mental and physical aggression is a common phenomenon among young people.
