The University of Bialystok is among six universities in Poland that have been honored with the ELSEVIER Research Impact Leaders Award 2020. It is awarded to universities that make the greatest contribution to the visibility of Polish science in the world.  The University won in the Natural Sciences category.   

In the Agricultural Sciences category, the award was won by the University of Rzeszów, in Engineering and Technologies – Lublin University of Technology, in Humanities – SWPS University of Humanities and Social Sciences, in Medical Sciences University Jagielloński in Kraków, and in the Social Sciences category – Częstochowa University of Technology.

The Research Impact Leaders Award was awarded for the first time in 2016 as a part of ELSEVIER’s global initiative to support research and scientific advancement across multiple disciplines. The awards are a recognition of outstanding research institutions that have the greatest impact on scientific research and contribute to better recognition of Polish science in the world.
