-On September 10, 2021, the Jagiellonian University in Krakow officially offered the facility and the collection of the Center for Natural Education to the public. I am very glad that we managed to implement the investment, which from today will serve not only students and scientists of our university but also the inhabitants of Kraków and Małopolska – said the Rector of the Jagiellonian University, Prof. Jacek Popiel.
The zoological, geological, palaeobotanical and anthropological collections gathered at the Nature Education Center of the Jagiellonian University will be available to all interested visitors on Tuesday, September 14.
They can see over 10,000 objects, presented in three exhibition rooms with a total area of over 2,000 m2. The Nature Education Center offers not only exhibitions but also over half a million other objects stored in scientific collections. Some of them are considered to be one of the most valuable in Europe – e.g. collections of butterflies.
