-I wish that the coming years of the university’s activity will be a time of scientific development and further research successes for both students and all university staff, – said Przemysław Czarnek, Minister of Education and Science, during the ceremonial meeting of the Conference of Rectors of Polish Universities on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the University of Rzeszów. 

During the ceremony, the minister handed over a symbolic check worth PLN 1,974,600 to maintain the research center for advanced biochemical analyzes of the Collegium of Life Sciences and the Field Research Station of the Institute of Archeology.

The University of Rzeszów is the largest university in the Podkarpacie region. It started its activity on September 1, 2001 under the Act of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland of June 7, 2001. The university is one of the younger Polish universities, but it continues a long academic tradition. It was created from the Pedagogical University in Rzeszów.
