-I hope that this academic year, despite the rising next wave of coronavirus, will be more normal than the previous one. I hope that students will be able to meet their peers and lecturers. This is important not only in terms of education and its quality but also in social terms for building a community within the university – said Polish President Andrzej Duda during the inauguration ceremony of the new academic year at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) in Warsaw.

During the ceremony, the Minister of Education and Science, Przemysław Czarnek, handed the Rector of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences a symbolic check for the amount of PLN 4,925,000 for the maintenance of research equipment, stands and for the maintenance of a special IT infrastructure.

The rector of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, Prof. Michał Zasada told students that their university is the oldest and the best natural and agricultural university in Poland. More than 200 years of academic tradition are the foundations for modern didactics and research, where professional staff will introduce students to science.
