Four projects with the participation of five Polish teams were awarded in the One Health interventions to prevent or reduce the development and transmission of AMR competition, organized by the JPIAMR network.

The subject of the competition was the use of the One Health approach to: understand the impact of an intervention on the development and transmission of antibiotic resistance or the design, implementation, evaluation and comparison of interventions that will have a significant impact on preventing or reducing the development and transmission of antibiotic resistance.

The University of Life Sciences in Wrocław is part of the consortium that will implement the project ENVIRE: Interventions to control the dynamics of antimicrobial resistance from chickens through the environment.

The National Veterinary Institute – National Research Institute in Puławy is involved in the project ICONIC Ionophore Coccidiostats: Ionophore coccidiostats: risk of CO-selectioN of antImicrobial resistance – Clinical impact and intervention strategies.

Institute of Soil Science and Plant Cultivation – National Research Institute in Puławy is included in the STARS-TAP project. Specific Targeting of Antimicrobial Resistant Strains in situ using Targeted-Antibacterial-Plasmids.

The PhageLand project: Phage therapy and passive treatment systems as a strategy to prevent dissemination of antibiotic resistance in surface waters will be implemented by a consortium led by the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. One of the consortium members is the University of Warsaw.
